About the Workshop
In Workshop 2: Composition Mastery, students develop an eye for structure and storytelling. We cover practical techniques — rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, symmetry and negative space — then apply them outdoors to make images that read well and feel intentional.
Expect a 2–3 hour session on location, with supportive critique and simple guidelines to help students build a stronger, more consistent portfolio.
What will students learn?
- How to compose images using rule of thirds, leading lines, framing and symmetry.
- Creating depth, balance and visual interest in a scene.
- Applying composition deliberately for GCSE briefs and themes.
- On-location practice to build confidence and consistency.
Who is this for?
- GCSE students who want their images to look more polished and intentional.
- Learners ready to add structure and creativity to their work.
Small groups (max ~5) for focused feedback and guidance.
