Training is designed around what you want to achieve, not a fixed course outline.
Training built around your photography, your goals and your next step
One-to-one workshops, practical field sessions and long-term mentoring designed around the exact skills, problems and ambitions you want to develop.
Focus on the parts of photography that will make the biggest difference
Every photographer reaches a point where general tutorials stop answering the real questions. A bespoke session lets us concentrate on the exact problems holding you back.
We can work on one focused skill, create a multi-session development plan or build a longer mentoring relationship with clear goals and regular feedback.
Private coaching typically starts from £50 per hour, with reduced rates available for longer sessions and planned programmes.
Learn with the cameras, lenses, lighting and software you actually use.
Bring images, projects, workflows or business challenges that matter to you.
Turn the session into clear actions you can continue applying afterwards.
Creative, technical and business support
Sessions can focus tightly on one area or combine several into a wider training programme.
Portraits and Lighting
Natural light, off-camera flash, posing, directing people and building confidence during portrait sessions.
Wedding Photography
Planning, timelines, shooting under pressure, client experience, lighting, workflow, pricing and delivery.
Landscape and Night
Composition, fieldcraft, long exposures, coastal photography, night shooting and creative technical control.
Editing and Workflow

Practical guidance from more than twenty-five years behind the camera
I have worked across weddings, portraits, commercial photography, events, landscapes, editing and photography education.
My teaching style is direct, supportive and practical. The aim is not to overwhelm you with theory, but to help you understand what matters, practise it and apply it independently.
I have taught photographers since 2018, from complete beginners through to experienced photographers developing professional work and businesses.
Bespoke training is designed for photographers with the basics already in place
Those still learning camera controls will get more value by starting with the structured beginner programme.
Build a session around the photography you actually want to improve
Private sessions can be built around portrait photography, landscape and night photography, wedding photography, editing, portfolio development or business mentoring. In-person training is available across Hampshire and the South Coast, with online mentoring also available where appropriate.
Tell me what you want to improve and what is currently getting in the way
Include your experience, equipment, availability and the type of photography you want to develop. I will suggest a practical format and provide a clear quote.
