About the Workshop
In Workshop 4: Capturing Movement, students experiment with shutter speed to express motion. We shoot at Clarence Pier or along the Seafront Promenade — perfect locations for dynamic scenes and engaging practice.
This 2–3 hour session develops both technical control and creative choices, helping students produce images that feel vivid and intentional.
What will students learn?
- How to control shutter speed to freeze action or create motion blur.
- Balancing exposure when using very fast or slow shutter speeds.
- Using movement to tell a story and add drama.
- Practical shooting strategies for varied light and subject speeds.
Who is this for?
- GCSE students ready to explore creative shutter techniques.
- Learners who want to add life and energy to their photography.
