About The Event

In Workshop 1: Foundations of Photography, we dive into the essential building blocks every young photographer needs to know. During this 2-3 hour session, students will learn how to operate their camera in manual mode, understanding key settings such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. This workshop is perfect for those just starting out or those who want to strengthen their grasp on photography basics.

We’ll head to Southsea Common or Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, where students will put theory into practice, experimenting with different lighting, perspectives, and environments. By the end of the workshop, your child will have the skills and confidence to take creative control of their camera, setting the foundation for success in their GCSE Photography coursework and beyond.
